Graduate QA Engineer - Experian

We are looking for Graduate QA Engineer to join our CSDA Development team.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the Business Analysts and development team members to understand testing requirements.
  • Writing, recording, and executing both manual; and ideally, functional automation and regression test scripts as part of the release cycle.
  • Logging, retesting, and closing defects.
  • Tracking own test plan progress
  • Communicating testing status on a regular basis to QA Lead/Manager
  • Participating in meetings any technical/none technical meetings (on demand), related with the assignments

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong interest in the QA area.
  • Good team player and willingness to learn.
  • A sharp eye for details, and naturally curious and think outside the box.
  • Initiative person with critical thinking and great patience to perform detailed testing.
  • Capacity to stay on course, as well to have an intuition when to deviate from the planned track, but at the same time to communication the deviation in timely manner.
  • Easley to identify the root cause of issue, and to be capable of suggesting improvements.
  • Excellent command of English, which will help to clearly communicate the issues/defects found
  • Knowledge in software development life cycles like: SCRUM, V-model, Rapid development, and etc.
  • Understanding of at least 2 of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, XML.
  • Theoretical understanding of Black-Box Testing, Grey-Box Testing, White-Box Testing
  • Good communications skills are essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Take pride in their work and strive for Quality

Any of the following abilities and skills will be considered an advantage:

  • Selenium 2, SoupUI, jMeter, or any such tool
