Developer Support Engineer

Infragistics the world leader in UI components is seeking ambitious Engineer of ASP.NET for its Developer Support Team in Sofia, Bulgaria office.

As a Developer Support Engineer for Infragistics Software Company, you will provide world-class support for our Developer community of Infragistics product users. As part of the Developer Support Services department you will be an integral part of the team dynamics in learning, sharing knowledge and contributing to the overall success of the our products.

Essential Duties:

• Support other DSEs in their daily troubleshooting and case completion.

• Keep updated and ahead of learning Infragistics products and related technologies.

• Actively post to forums.

• Work with Engineering to find work around for bugs labeled as ‘Not to fix’.

• Advocate for our customers by responding both efficiently and professionally.

• Provide direct programming support to professional developers using our products, via phone, live chat, web forms, forums, and email.

• Analyze, reproduce, and troubleshoot technical problems using Infragistics products as reported by customers.

• Reproduce bugs reported by a customer in a coded sample project.

• Take small programming projects as assigned by manager or other departments.

• Provide coded product functionality samples for the Knowledge Base and customers directly.

• Test/verify bugs submitted on behalf of customers.

• Provide feedback and suggestions/input on product, process, and service improvements, and submit ideas for new products.

General Description:

Learn our presentation-layer components inside and out - through source code and within applications, from planning/beta to release and beyond. Create sample apps, troubleshoot customer questions (via phone, live chat, and email), edit/write knowledge base articles, and use the latest languages/programming environments. If you can write quality technical articles, you can even get published! This is a dynamic learning environment offering true potential to grow and advance for a motivated, enthusiastic employee.

Minimum Requirements & Skills:

• Customer Service Skills

• The following (listed in order of importance): C#, VB.NET, .NET web development (ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, HTML/DHTML), Windows Forms, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Java Server Faces (JSF), Silverlight

• Good spoken and written communication in English is imperative.

• Hands-on experience with product life-cycle/development. Enthusiasm/familiarity for component architecture and methodology a plus.

• Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and/or Visual Studio 2005.

• Familiarity and/or experience with databases, database management systems, and data structures.
