Data Production Analyst - Experian

We're currently looking for a Data Production Analyst to join our Address Data Quality Team.



The Data Production team serves Experian Data Quality’s clients by ensuring that they have the latest datasets for use within their EDQ products, and that the data is accurately produced to high standards. The role involves taking responsibility for the successful delivery of data updates, working with data suppliers. This is primarily a technical delivery role, responsible for processing data files for delivery to the customer and dealing with all issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver all assigned data updates within agreed timescales
  • Liaise with data suppliers to ensure that data is received on time, according to specification
  • Execute data production software and workflows as appropriate for each update
  • Manage both the physical media and electronic delivery of data to customers
  • Work with colleagues to address any issues encountered during an update, ensuring that status and plans are accurately communicated
  • Continuously identify and advocate opportunities for improving process
  • Undertake strategic project work to improve the team’s effectiveness, including automation of manual activities
  • Act as a stakeholder on development and other projects, sharing your knowledge of data and our production processes
  • Dealing with technical issues that occur during the delivery cycle (eg. missing data, incorrect formats, updates to scripts, missing files)
  • Able to trouble shoot process issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Act as the 3rd line support for the regional commercial and support teams.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Ability to plan and prioritise your own work, in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Take responsibility for your own work, with a high level of attention to detail to ensure that datasets and information are produced and tested to a high standard
  • Demonstration an enquiring mind and the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to work effectively with stakeholders from multiple teams and geographies
  • Ability to use a wide variety of computer systems and tools, including to creatively troubleshoot problems
  • Appreciation of data and the ability to analyse it and report on your findings
  • Can demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Capable of reviewing and understanding basic data files and make changes to accommodate updates/modifications
  • Technical understanding and ability to troubleshoot basic scripted command files

Any of the following will be considered as an advantage:

  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Experience of Agile software development
  • Relevant technical degree or work based experience
  • Basic technical and coding capabilities, you must be able to create, amend and understand code (C#)
