Citadel Event Opportunity for Mathematics and Informatics PhD Students

Terminal is the world’s largest AI programming competition, organized by Correlation One and Citadel/ Citadel Securities. In Terminal, players play a tower defense game programmatically, by coding their strategies into algorithms. These algorithms then face off against each other in an algo vs. algo format. Building a strategy for Terminal requires a holistic set of engineering, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. All levels of coders are welcome as we provide starter algorithms to everyone to build on!

The competition is open for undergrad, master, PHD students and many different STEM majors (maths, stats, computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology, physics) can participate!

We are excited to announce Europe Regional Terminal, a $25,000 coding competition for talented undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students.

Taking place between March 8-15, the competition will be virtual and teams will be able to work remotely on their submissions for a week on their own schedules.

Terminal is a novel games-based AI challenge, where players code strategies to automate gameplay, battling team vs team for prize money and job opportunities. Check out this brief clip to see Terminal in action! Event Highlights include:

  • $25,000 in cash prizes!
  • Opportunity to showcase your coding skills in a novel competition!
  • Consideration for interviews with Citadel and Citadel Securities!

Admissions are made on a rolling basis and applications are due 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 2nd.
