Who are we looking for:

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer, who will add customer-centric technical expertise to our Product, Solutions and Support teams, so that we can deliver best-in-class customer experience. As Application Support Engineer you will work with the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Helm, Java, Python, Bash, Zabbix, Linux, DNS

The Role:

As Application Support Engineer you will:

  • Act as support resource for Enterprise customers, providing hands-on support and know-how, reproducing and debugging reported issues
  • Help in employing best DevOps practices to avoid unplanned downtime in the production environment, categorize and help in fixing reported bugs in software
  • Sort out  ongoing support issues, in cooperation with teams across the Ontotext org (Product, Support, etc.) as needed while ensuring that SLAs are met
  • Participate in customer meetings to provide technical expertise
  • Engage with potential customers in GraphDB community support activities

Your Profile:

We will offer multiple skill development resources and experiences, yet you need to have the attitude to grab them! To be successful you should have:

  • Programming knowledge or experience, ideally in Java
  • Experience with the following technologies will be considered a strong plus:
    • Python, SQL
    • Linux system administration
  • Prior work with technical/customer support and related software will be considered an advantage
  • Prior work with enterprise data and infrastructure technologies will be considered a strong plus
  • A customer-centric, proactive and initiative-driven attitude
  • Strong interest in learning newest technologies
  • English Language - excellent written and verbal English communication skills
