The mission of HALO Diagnostics is to improve human health and wellbeing via local and easy access to advanced diagnostics. HALO Diagnostics has a unique approach bringing together pioneers in the fields of radiology and software development to create unparalleled levels of services and patient outcomes. Leveraging technology and collaborating with our own medical imaging doctors and centers, we will make an impact on a personal level for each patient and their family, as well as raise the standard for improved accuracy in diagnostics.
During the summer of 2022 we have 6 opened software engineering intern positions. As part of our stellar software engineering team you will be on the forefront of that mission, as we understand and evolve the way radiology works. We build products that are reshaping the diagnostic imaging industry.
Our engineering team, based in Bulgaria, is building a distributed multi-tenant radiology SaaS platform from scratch, as well as all the necessary physical, virtual, and application infrastructure to bridge edge medical devices and its data center, enabling various diagnostic ML and AI solutions. We have teams tackling complex data transfer and synchronization challenges related to the imaging studies produced by the modalities (MRI, CT Scans, X-Ray, Ultrasound). Other teams are designing extensibility and configurability of the workflow of patient care and imaging services. Оur engineers are modernizing patient and doctor experience so that we have the best point of care. Each team is self-managed and uniquely responsible to deliver a comprehensive solution with high impact and ownership over the delivery. More specialized roles exist, based on engineers’ skills and passion.
1.Software Engineer Intern Summer 2022
A software engineer intern at Halo is expected to:
- Be passionate about learning and growing in the field of software engineering
- Work on real problems as part of an an engineering team with the help of a dedicated mentor
What we look for:
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP and design patterns
- Knowledge in at least one programming language - Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C, C++, etc.
- Understanding of networking and databases
- Good communication skills

- Knowledge in Linux, networking, databases and virtualization
- Good communication skills
