Consultant – Protection Server Support

Sutherland Global Services is currently looking for technically proficient German speaking consultants to support Protection Server for Fortune 1000 Enterprise IT Departments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Excellent command (verbal & written) of German along with English;

• University Degree in Information technologies or related is preferred;

• Degrees and certifications (Security+, Network+, CEH, CISSP, CCNA, LPI, etc.);

• 1-3 years technical support experience with direct client contact where previous experience with phone support is preferred;

• UNIX System administrator experience (Linux, Solaris) in Command Line;

• Full and solid understanding of networking, DNS and port configuration;

• System administrator, TCP/IP level networking experience;

• SSH, CVS, MySQL experience;

• PERL 4 experience is desired;

• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills along with equally strong customer service skills (B2B support dealing directly with IT Directors, network administrators, etc.);

• Excellent problem diagnosis and problem solving skills, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;

• Computer typing skills.



Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Personally take ownership of customer’s issues over multiple days, allowing them to continue to talk to the same person throughout the entire issue.

• Identify and solve the issue using a variety of methods including SSH, Webex, web interface, telephone, and email conversations.

• Meet internal and client metrics, in the areas of SLA, tickets closed per month, Customer and Sales Rep Satisfaction, and other metrics as defined.

• Follow Customer issues through the Ticketing system until resolution, even during escalation to Level 2 or 3.

• Provide Information to the customers Sales Rep when needed.

• Provide Timely, Effective and Correct Solutions / Information to customers.

• To be able to work on more than one ticket at once, while not losing effectiveness.

• Willingness and ability to work on shifts, including early and late hours.
