Responsibilities:
This is a position within VMware automation teams. Teams consist of highly experienced developers and quality engineers, with a strong track record of delivering high number of automated tests for critical VMware releases. Candidate will own the UI and/or API automation of specific areas of the products by utilizing existing and extending existing frameworks, by overseeing the execution of these tests and analyzing the results. These frameworks are based on Java, Selenium and Flex as well as industry leading automation tools that have been developed within VMware. During his/her work candidate will utilize the full potential of the virtual infrastructure build on best in class products – VMware vSphere, VMware vCloud Director, VMware Workstation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• At least 2 years of professional experience in software development
• Very good programming skills in one of following languages: Java, C#, C++
• Very good understanding of OOP principles, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, etc.
• Good understanding of software testing techniques and passion for building quality products
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Very good communication skills; English language is a must
Strong Plus:
• Experience with Flex, Action Script, JavaScript or Python
• Proficient in Networking and/or operating systems: Windows, Linux or Unix
• Experience with Java/Selenium test automation frameworks and tools
