PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP NetWeaver® Process Integration (SAP NetWeaver PI) is the leading integration technology for SAP and non-SAP applications based on Web services and an advanced messaging technology. SAP NetWeaver PI has a large customer base with more than 2,000 customers which operate more than 3,000 active installations. It is used by large SAP customers that follow the “central message hub” market positioning strategy. According to this strategy, SAP NetWeaver PI evolves to the most critical product within our customer landscape.
SAP NetWeaver PI is already established in the Installed Base Maintenance and Support (IMS) organization, located in Bangalore and St. Leon-Rot. Due to the strategic positioning of SAP NetWeaver PI and the strong demand to improve support and product quality, we are creating an additional team in Bulgaria.
The SAP NetWeaver PI team in the IMS organization has a great responsibility to ensure stable,
mission-critical implementations for our customers. It needs to provide corrections for customer
issues, improve the product proactively, and represent the support point of view to the
development organization. The team should act as a trusted advisor for any kind of SAP
NetWeaver PI-related matters both for customers and internal SAP® stakeholders.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Support our customers by solving their problem messages
• Fix bugs in Java programming language
• Lead continuous quality improvements
• Handle critical customer situations
• Serve as a trusted advisor to our customers
• Contribute to different kinds of projects, for example, workload reduction projects
• Train and support Primary Support colleagues
• Perform testing: Ongoing development of test cases, developer tests during the implementation phase, module integration, and support package tests
• Participate in the feedback channel to development
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor degree from a university or technical college
• Very high customer orientation
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Ability to work in an international team across locations; eagerness to learn, guided as well as autonomously
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluency in written and oral English
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Work experience in projects and teams
• Some years of experience in professional software development
• Experience in JAVA development (ABAP knowledge is a plus)
• Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JDBC, EJB, JMS, Servlet&JSP, Transaction handling)
• Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver and/or Process Integration is an advantage.
• Knowledge in industry standards and communication protocols (FTP, SOAP, Web Services, SSL)
