NOC Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Follow NOC’s operations processes and procedures
- Network Monitoring 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- Management and monitoring of all active network equipment
- Evaluate network alarms and inform the Network Maintenance engineers
- Investigate alarms with different severity
- Network failure or problem/event detection, classification and handling to correct these faults;
- Assign troubles to be restored to relevant party and control the restoration work
- Record all faults in the Trouble Ticket System
- Facilitate and support all planned work to ensure maximum network availability
- Hand complex problems over to the Performance Management or the Configuration Management
- Report generation and tracking of failure reports
- Perform Base stations integration and reconfigurations in cooperation with Installation/Field and RF teams
- Perform software related changes/updates for Base stations (SW-packs and Radio parameters)
- Perform correct operations of RAN and radio performance of WiMAX Base stations and modems
- Analyzing performance statistics for solving radio problems
- Setup and tune WiMAX Base stations and analyzing radio communication issues
- Troubleshooting radio problems and customer’s complaints
Requirements:
- O&M skills (including alarms, backups, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, SW management etc.)
- Good knowledge for networks – TCP\IP
- Experience in working in a network surveillance center is an advantage
- Knowledge of WiMAX protocols and operations is an advantage
Qualification/Education:
- University degree in Radio communication/Telecommunication or a related field
- Cisco certificates are advantage
